 -Testing 1-2-3- 6/23/99 10:30 AM CST

Ok, this is hopefully going to appear on the page after I try to save this.. if it does then I can update in a limited fashion until we can get the real problem solved.

-Let 'er Rip!- 6/23/99 3:30 PM CST
Well for all those that were beginning to doubt that I would ever be back, I am, so I will be trying to sort through some of the e-mails I have received in the past few weeks and get some of the files up.  I am not sure if the files will actually go up right so lets just hope for the best and let me know if there is a problem with a download.  I have about 15 new mods for you, and I will have them up as soon as we get the site fixed.  It seems that some of the extensions that we use were not acting as they should so it was not letting me do squat.  You can thank Snicker for helping me get this back on track.  Keep checking back, I will most likely make the major update Thursday night or Friday considering that my day off is Friday.  Thanks for hanging in there

-No News Is Not Necessarily Good News- 10:36 AM CST Sooner
Well for those of you that are wondering where I have been, it has to do with school.  This week has been comprised of 19 hour days, and I while I have been able to get to my e-mail, the updates have been giving me some problems.  I tried for about 6 hours yesterday to save a page and our server kept dropping me so lets hope today is better.  Don't feel bad Snicker, you are not the only one with ISP woes :-)  As for the lack of posts, there really has not been that much in the way of news to post.  The Super Arsenal 8.2 is doing well from what I can see, and people seem to be in a frenzy about the Rogue Spear beta test.   If you are looking for a good laugh go on over to the Red Storm Entertainment Forum and take a look for yourself.  It is a riot.  I am going to continue updating the page, but I will most likely be looking for some help soon.  I thought at one time that doing all this by myself would not be that bad, but work, school, and my Fiancé' think otherwise.  Anyway, enough of my senseless babbling, and on with the news.

-New Mission Mods- 10:24 AM CST Sooner

CanadianForcesM has sent over this mission mod that makes the easy missions harder, while keeping the terrorist AI from smoking the hostage upon the first sign of trouble.  There have been more terrorists added for your killing pleasure, so you can hear "Tango Down" just a few more times in the Embassy.  It is available here.

-Mission Selector Now Available- 10:24 AM CST Sooner
GF Vegan has sent over a great little utility that is usable in either Eagle Watch or Rainbow Six.   It allows you to select what mission you want to play rather than having to go through them in the order they were intended.  In order for it to work you must have a campaign started.  It is available here, and it is great for getting some screenshots of a lvl that you want without having to complete every mission.

-Super Arsenal 8.2 Now Available- 6:35 PM CST Sooner
Yes you heard right, the ITF Super Arsenal 8.2 is now available and looks to be a must have.  I did a little of the beta testing on it, and it was great then, so you can imagine what it is now:-)  It is contains several new things including, but not limited to, a skins changer.  It has many never before seen weapons including the "Street Sweeper" which I have received numerous e-mails requesting.  It is available in 2 flavors, one large 13.9 meg file here, or divided into 3 parts that are about 4.5 megs a peice. File1, File2, File3

-Lloyds Sounds Of Death- 6:35 PM CST Sooner

Lloyd Bailey, of mission mod fame, has released a smal sounds mod that replaces some of the dying sound with some more.... ummm..... true to life sounds :-).  It is available here.

-Spring Cleaning Coming- 6:35 PM CST Sooner

I will be doing some spring cleaning on Sunday to catch any mods that are not posted where they should be, or not posted at all.  So if you see some changes or something out of whack let me know :-)

-New Operative Tutorial Now Available- 5:50 PM CST Sooner
Felix Klastrup has been kind enough to send over a very detailed tutorial on how to make new operatives.  It gives info on everything including how to make the graphics so that they show up correctly.  It is available here.

-God Stalker Weapon Mod- 5:50 PM CST Sooner
Also available here is a new weapon mod that is made to work in conjunction with NATO 2.0.  It is called the God Stalker, and I must say that this gun is most aptly named.  If you want to reach out and touch someone, this is the weapon for you:-).  It is available here. Thanks

-New Sounds & Reticule Mod- 5:50 PM CST Sooner
VeganXXX sent over this sound mod, a couple of days ago and it has taken me forever to get it up due to my worthless ISP. I will be getting a new one this week hopefully.  Anyway, this mod weighs in at 3.13 megs, but it is well worth the download.  It is available here.  There is also a small mod that changes the reticule from the default to this
wpe2.jpg (766 bytes).  It is available here.

-New Map and Skins Mods- 5:50 PM CST Sooner
Shock Trooper has sent over several mods for your enjoyment.  The first is a map mod of the Biolab, and it is a client side download meaning that everyone has to have it to play.  It is available here.  There are also 4 skins which are "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Degeneration X, Ninja, and Tiger Stripe Skins.   I wish I had some screen shots to show you but I haven't had the time to get any. Enjoy

-Help Wanted- 5:50 PM CST Sooner
I was asked to pass this information along:

HELP WANTED:
I need some help with my new version of RosterPack. If anyone, with experience in editing R6 files, would like to be my associate or partner in making the RosterPack V. 1.1, please e-mail me at: felix.k@post.cybercity.dk . Also, if anyone by some lame reason have a picture of Gene Hackman in his old days, with glasses, please send it over to me (it has to be 141x211 pixels or more!)

Thanks,
Felix Klastrup
Author of RosterPack

-Gun Making Tutorial Now Available- 5:50 PM CST Sooner
Rogue Spear has sent over a follow up tutorial to the modifying weapons.  This one will tell you how to make new guns and get them in the game.  Any questions will need to be directed to the author so that the tutorial can be updated with pertinent information.  It is available here.

-Gun Mod Tutorial Now Available- 3:45 PM CST Sooner
R6NS_Rogue has sent over a very well written to tutorial on how to modify weapons.  Note that this is not how to make new ones, but rather how to modify those that are already in the game.  The tutorial is available here, and in the help section.  I will most likely be starting up a how to section but that will not be for a few more days until I see how many tutorials we have in.  If you have any suggestions on how to make the tutorial better please include the word tutorial in the subject line and send them to me.  I can then add to or make them more precise so that they are easier to understand or are more detailed.

-.SOB Editing Tutorial- 3:45 PM CST Sooner
Also on the editing note is a small doc about how to edit the .sob files that are used for some of the models and textures.  This one was sent over by Rogue Spear.  It is also available in the help section or here.

-New Map Available-   3:45 PM CST Sooner

Premo
has sent his latest map over.  It is a self contained mod, so it will not overwrite any of your current maps.  If you would like to see how a zip file should be put together to be submitted for posting, take a look at this one, it is a shining example.  It is available here, and in the maps section.  It has replaced the textures, and looks very good.  It will need to be extracted to your data directory and make sure to use folder names.

-Help Needed- 9:00 PM CST Sooner
Ok folks, I am in need of some help from all of you.   Many people out there are looking for some basic tutorials on how to make weapons, skins, etc, and get them to function in the game.  So this is where I need you all to step in and help out.  It doesn't need to be fancy, just send me a text document in step by step form and I will format it and post it.  Credit will most definetely be given where credit is due.  So if any of you can help me out here, please put something together for me, and send it on over to me.

-Landmine/Anti-matter Mod- 9:00 PM CST Sooner
Well I have had several people over the time that the site has been up ask about making land mines and such.  It appears as if someone has done it.  I have not had time to test it out, but from what I can tell it make some changes to the constants.txt file to make the frags act as landmines.  If any of you would care to send me in a quick review of it I would appreciate it.  It is available here, or in the weapons section.

-New R6 mod Site-  9:00 PM CST Sooner
There is a new R6 mod site up at

-E3 Article Up- 9:15 AM CST Sooner
I have written a bit about our trip to E3, and what we saw of Rogue Spear.  It is a fairly good read, and has quite a bit of info in it.   So if you would like to check it out fell free to take a look here.  I will be adding more to it in the coming days, but as of right now I am pretty much brain dead. I will be attempting to answer some e-mails later on today, if I can form a coherent sentence to reply with:-).  I am also adding some new graphics as I go.  I think I have figured out how to get all the flags to work properly, but it is going to take some time to format all of them so please be patient.
