Mission 7: Silent Drum
(courtesy of Pie's Tactics)

Quick Facts

Location:  London
Average Completion Time:  2:00
Number of Terrorists:  10+
Recommended Arsenal:  MP5 SD - SD Pistol - Flashbangs - HBS
Minimum number of operatives/type:  6/assault
Objective:  Rescue Hostages

Planning

This mission requires a bit more finesse in terms of a solid rush against the tangos.  After climbing the short ledge, swiftly clean out the tangos.  Once the roof is cleared, send two teams down to the main level, while another heads onto the catwalks.  That team should move to the room where the hostages are being held.  Wait there for the assault to begin.  Send the other two teams through the first level, to the doors of the room where the hostages are being held.  The key is here a VERY quick strike, as there are a lot of terrorists in the room.  Kill all the terrorists so you don't have to bring the hostages back to the rooftop.

Execution

The key here, again, is the rush.  You should be able to sweep the roof with little problems.  Make sure you HBS the roof to ensure all tango's are down.  Next, move down the stairs, onto the catwalk.  Go into the crouched position and move along the catwalks, HBSing to keep an eye out for tangos.  Once you get to the hostage room, move quietly.   As long as you don't make too much noise, you'll be able to move across the cats.  You can either snipe em from the top, or you can hit the ground and come in the from back area.  Either way, when you give the go-code, take everyone out as quickly as possible.  In fact, you may want to aim for the tango guarding the hostages first, just to make sure you get the kills you desire.
